Background

All my life I’ve been nose-deep in the creative arts; when I completed an undergraduate Diploma in Art & Design in my hometown of Newry, Northern Ireland, it was purely for the love of making and absorbing visual art – but it was there that I realized design was what I really wanted to do.

I studied Graphic Design at the University of East London from 2001, honing my skills as a print and web designer and worked with mixed media and photography. It led naturally to a Masters in Visual Communication in 2005.

At this time I cut my teeth with CleverCherry, a web design company. I created advertisements, websites and anything else they would let me get my hands on.

I found my feet in Sydney, Australia, in 2006 where I worked for national advertising agency oOh!media. I spent almost three years as their principal designer, working with brands such as Nokia, Panasonic and Telstra on national outdoor and online campaigns.

I spent the summer of 2008 in New York. It was a time that inspired me to take up freelance work when I returned to Ireland, where I specialized in corporate identity, web and print design, working with recording artists like Damien Rice and Villagers.

In 2010 I was appointed Senior Graphic & Web Designer for PML Group, Ireland's number one out-of-home advertising specialist. Focusing on web design and print advertising for their group of companies, I worked with clients like Kellogg's, Diageo, Nestlé and Kraft/Cadbury.

..and to the present. I am currently based in New York City, freelancing from the coffee houses of the L.E.S. and on the look out for the perfect full-time role. Please feel free to give me a call or drop me a mail here.
